In 1993, the GTJA was the first securities company to start asset management business. In 1995, the GTJA set up the first securities company's research institute and started overseas securities business in Hong Kong. In 2001, the GTJA was, among the first batch, granted Quoting Qualification in Agency Shares Transfer System(OTC Market). In 2003, the GTJA started QFII business. In 2004, the GTJA became a class A dealer in open market for the People's Bank of China, and a market maker in interbank bond market. In the beginning of 2005, the GTJA was granted qualification to conduct pilot innovative business and was selected as a corporate short-term financing bills underwriter. In 2007, the GTJA was granted full settlement membership of financial futures and the qualifications for QDII in the first batch. In 2008, the GTJA acquired qualifications for direct investment business and stock index futures IB. In 2009, the GTJA established the "Junhong Fortune club", which was the first high-end investors' club then among securities companies. In 2010, with the top rank in professional evaluation, the GTJA acquired the qualification of margin trading and securities-lending business. On July 8th 2010, the GTJA’s subsidiary in Hongkong--- the Guotai Junan International Holdings was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The GTJA became the first mainland securities company approved by the China Securities Regulatory Commission to list its subsidiary in Hong Kong.
